La-La: Nothing girl, eating as always! This little girl is kicking my ass.
Me: Girl?
La-La: Duh! You went with me earlier to find out the sex of the baby! But anyways have you saw Kenjay? I miss him! =(
Me: Naw, where are you?
La-La: At Olive Garden with Lyle. He invited me out for dinner.
Me: Which one?
La-La: In Bowie
I grabbed Sameer’s keys then bounced. Luckily I was only fifteen minutes away. Latavia’s date was about to be cancelled. That bitch was pregnant with my daughter and wasn’t trying to tell me? She was taking all of those moments away from me. Oh, and I was fucking that nigga up!
Latavia
After I finished texting Lo-Lo, I put my phone away. Lyle went on and on about his success. I rolled my eyes at him as I ate my chicken parmesan. I sipped my coke then let out a loud burp.
“Oops! I’m sorry! Now, what were you saying?” I asked him. He looked disgusted but I didn’t give a damn! I was going to pass gas if he kept talking. This girl had me going through it all. I was very gassy, bloated, and I got serious heartburn! She was already a feisty little thing. I leaned back in my chair as I rubbed my belly.
“So, what are you having?” he asked. Finally he talked about something I was interested in.
“A baby girl!” I said.
I spotted Kenjay walking in with a scowl on his face. His slanted eyes pierced through me. My heart rate sped up and my stomach started bubbling. Oh God, I’m going to die! I screamed in my head.
“What’s good, baby-mama?” he asked me once he got to our table. I was stuck because I was scared of what he might do and also at how fine he was! His fitted was pulled low over his eyes as his waves peeked out from the sides. His nice, thick tattooed arms were on display as his black t-shirt hugged his solid frame. The woman at the table next to us looked at him then fanned herself while the other girl she was with licked her lips. I looked at those bitches with my nose turned up! Damn, and he smelled good too!
He bent down then whispered in my ear. “Get your fucking ass up or else I will embarrass you!” He went into his pocket then peeled off a few bills, dropping them on the table.
“Dinner’s on me!” he said to Lyle. I hurriedly got up, making my way to the door. Lyle got up too, following behind us and into the parking. Why the hell would he do that?
“Ay, what the fuck was that for?” Lyle asked Kenjay. Kenjay turned around, punching him in the face.
“Fuck you say to me, nigga? Get your bitch ass up!” Kenjay said as his muscles flexed.
Lyle got up. “Do you know who I am?” he asked Kenjay.
“Seriously, Latavia? You out with this lame-ass nigga? You keep fucking with niggas that can’t defend themselves! How is he going to defend you?” he asked me. It took me back to when Kenjay caught me with Rodney at the mall. He whipped Rodney’s ass terribly.
Lyle charged into Kenjay, slamming him against a car. He tried to wrestle with Kenjay but Kenjay swung on him even harder than he did the first time. Lyle fell back into the car. Kenjay punched him in the stomach a few times and Lyle doubled over. Kenjay kneed him in the mouth. I tried pulling him off of Lyle, but when I did, he swung on him again knocking blood out of his mouth.
Lyle was laid out on the ground. Kenjay grabbed me by the back of my neck, unlocking the door to Sameer’s truck.
“Get your ass in the truck!” he said. I hurriedly climbed onto the seat.
He got in then sped off. He didn’t say shit to me as he drove like a bat out of hell.
Minutes later we were pulling up to my psychiatrist’s building.
“Why are we here?” I asked him.
“You have officially lost your motherfucking mind! That’s why we’re here! They need to talk some sense into your ass before I kill you!” he said to me.
“How? Because you won’t grow the fuck up? Grow the hell up, Kenjay!” I screamed.
“Grow up? Bitch, you ain’t grown your damn self! What actions have you taken that made you think that? You go to the doctor’s and don’t tell me shit! I’m hurt, Latavia! Can’t you see that? You are fucking with my emotions and, shorty, I’m warning you! This isn’t what you want! A girl, Latavia? Don’t you think I wanted to know that? Huh?” he shouted, making me jump.
He banged on the steering wheel. “Answer me, damn it! Don’t you think I wanted to see that? You don’t want me? I can settle with that! But my fucking seed!” he shouted, choking me. Tears fell down my eyes and one fell down his as he cursed me out. When he noticed I couldn’t breathe, he let me go.
“All of this because of the life I live? All of this because you accepted me in the beginning and now you don’t? I’m not a perfect man but I am a man! Real men don’t need a woman to tell them how to be a man! That’s all you been doing is trying to change me for yourself! I’m still trying to find myself, Latavia, and you won’t let me! Take Sameer his truck back to Lo-Lo’s crib!” he said hopping out.
I got out of the truck. “Kenjay, wait!” I walked behind him. “I’m trying to find myself too! My actions aren’t all because of you. It’s because of me too. I just needed time to think and focus on myself, Kenjay.” I grabbed his arm. He looked down at me with pain in his eyes. Why did love hurt so much?
“All I want to know about is my baby growing inside of you from this moment on. You can still focus on yourself while doing that, can’t you?” Reality hit me. Kenjay was finally letting me go.
“Take Sameer back his truck. That nigga don’t like for nobody to take his shit without asking,” Kenjay said then walked down the sidewalk. He hailed a cab then got in.
I pulled up to Lo-Lo’s building. I got out of the truck then banged on her door. Sameer opened the door with only baller shorts on. He grilled me with hickeys all over his neck and scratches on his chest. They must’ve just got finished fucking.
“Move!” I said, pushing past him.
“Stupid bitch!” he mumbled.
“Call me another one!” I said to him. He waved me off.
Lo-Lo walked out of the bedroom with a silk robe on.
“So, you told Kenjay I was out eating with Lyle? He came there and beat his ass! He knows about the sex of the baby, Lo-Lo!” I said.
“What the fuck is wrong with that?” Sameer asked.
“Mind your business!” I spat.
“Young, on the real! You don’t have any business! Why the fuck are you trying to keep that man away from his baby? That’s some trifling-ass shit right there!” Sameer said to me.
“Sameer!” Lo-Lo said.
“Shut the hell up, Lo-Lo! Someone needs to tell her stupid ass! Y’all got this bitch thinking it’s okay for her to keep that man away from his baby!” Sameer said.
“Everyone knows that Kenjay has not been the same since she left him! I have a daughter! I know how the nigga feel! Damn, you are one of those dumb-ass baby mamas already! Get mad at the nigga then use the child to hurt him. Females like you ain’t shit!” Sameer said, taking his keys away from me.
“Get your man, Lo-Lo, before I hurt his damn feelings!” I said.
Sameer laughed. “Right! That will never happen! But when that nigga find a woman who sticks by him through whatever, guess whose feelings going to be hurting?” he asked laughing. I didn’t like the sound of that at all.
“I’ll be back, Lo-Lo!” he said, coming back fully dressed.
“You let your man talk to me like that?” I asked.
“Yeah, you just came to my home accusing me of telling on you! Kenjay used my phone. He was the one texting you. That’s a slick-ass nigga!” she said, walking into the kitchen.
She came back with some ice cream and a big spoon. She handed it to me as we sat on the couch. My head was on her shoulder while I ate my ice cream.
“I’m sorry, Lo-Lo,” I said.
“Awl, it’s okay! But I think it’s time for you to try and get your man back. Kenjay is very stubborn, Latavia. But honestly I think if you stop na
gging and let everything fall into place, it will happen. Stop being a spoiled bitch all the time! You are too grown for that! You need to change too. You will be surprised at how much might happen if you just let everything flow. That’s all you have to do is let it flow,” she said.
“Let it flow?” I asked.
“Let it flow! Let everything flow!” she repeated. “You need a woman’s guidance, Latavia. You are a daddy’s girl and everyone cannot be your daddy.” She dug her spoon into my bowl.
“You smell like sex,” I said.
“I know! I was ready to take a shower before you came in here being all dramatic! Now, I’m sitting here with cum sliding out of my pussy.” She laughed.
“See, bitch, you are nasty! But I do miss Kenjay giving me cream pies!” I said then we laughed.

“Domo, make sure Shia don’t leave the house with them,” I said to one of the bodyguards. I was still trying to deal with Shia hanging over her friend’s house. My mother cursed me out earlier and told me Shia needed to interact with kids because she was too grown.
“I got you!” he said smiling. Domo had a cute face. His personality was beautiful. He was sweet and kind. I was actually thinking about hooking him up with Tejah, but for some reason she was infatuated with Shine. Shine wasn’t a bad guy at all; he just seemed a little too much for Tejah to handle.
“Shia call me when you get there. When I text, you respond to me, okay?”
“Yes, Ma. I got this,” she said with an annoyed look on her face. O’Shea gave me the same look when I pissed him off.
Shia grabbed her backpack then left out the door with Domo and a few other bodyguards.
My mother switched into the kitchen with a big grin on her face.
“Why are you so happy?” I asked her.
“Harry ate the booty like groceries!” My mouth dropped.
“You really need to stop,” I said, shaking my head.
“So, you finally let Shia go to a sleep-over? About damn time you didn’t change your mind. I feel sorry for that little girl. You know, Michael Jackson didn’t have a childhood neither. Well, you see where I’m heading at with the rest!”
“Can you make the potato salad for the big cook-out tomorrow? Kenjay’s father wants everyone who is a part of his life to come. I guess he wants to know his son’s family,” I told her.
“You damn right I can! They say the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach!” Geraldine always had something up her sleeve.
“He is married, Ma,” I said.
“That’s even better, baby! That fine-ass man can get the business! He wouldn’t know what to do once Geraldine bless him with all of this!” she said, popping her small plump butt out then smacking it.
I fell out laughing. “Ma, if you have sex like the way you dance then you can just stop it! I mean really. Nowadays the hip movement gets the man’s heart. It’s all in the hips, Ma!” I said poking my butt out then smacking it.
She cut her eyes at me. “Oh, you are just trying to show off your big ass!” she spat.
“Crack-head! Crack-head!” Tookie said. She was sitting on her perch in the family room.
“That damn bird!” my mother said.
“You know Tookie is your baby!” I said.
O’Shea walked into the house. “Cheater! Cheater!” Tookie squawked.
O’Shea came into the kitchen. “So, I guess you telling Tookie our business now?” he asked me.
“Get out of my face, O’Shea! Don’t start with me!” I said to him.
“Grown lil’ nigga! When are you going to let me spit on your track?” my mother asked him.
O’Shea laughed. “What are you rapping about?” he asked, picking up an apple then biting into it. They started talking and laughing. I zoned them out as O’Shea put his sexy lips on the apple then bit into it again. My six weeks was up and I was ready to have sex. It had been two weeks since we had that big fight. The tension between us had been thick.
He wasn’t even touching me when we were in bed. My pussy throbbed and my nipples ached. I needed him!
“Do I have something on my face?” O’Shea asked me. I must have really hurt his feelings when I accused him of cheating on me. He had been getting real fly at the mouth.
I rolled my eyes at him. But we needed a little spice in our relationship. I know there wasn’t such a thing as a perfect relationship, but in our case it was despite our falling out. I wanted a little spice in it! We were too young for the basic stuff.
“So, Ma. I was wondering if you could watch Kensi for me tonight. I’m going out with the girls!” O’Shea looked at me with frustration in his eyes. I smiled at him.
“Yup! Just bring him down to my pad before you leave,” she said walking out of the kitchen.
“Where are you going?” he asked me.
“OUT!” I said, heading out of the kitchen.
I went upstairs to check on Kensi to see if he needed to be changed. He was slightly snoring. I fed him an hour ago and right afterwards he passed out. I kissed his cheek then went into our bedroom.
Moments later O’Shea came into the room.
“Where are you going, Britain?” he asked, giving me the side-eye.
“Shake a little something! You know I haven’t been out dancing in a while. Between modeling and the family, I have been too busy. I just need a little fun,” I said.
I went into the closet then grabbed my two-piece black lace set. The skirt was made like a tutu and the shirt was see-through. I grabbed my black glitter bra to wear underneath it. All I needed was some badass heels. I had been doing Yoga after I had Kensi, so my stomach went down a lot. I still had all of my voluptuous curves. I toned it up a bit but I was still a size eighteen—a nice curvy solid one! I laid the items down on the bed. O’Shea flicked through the channels as he lay across the bed. He eyed my outfit then shook his head.
“You trying to show off now, aren’t you, shorty?” he asked. I ignored him.
I took off my clothes to get ready for my shower. O’Shea licked his lips. When he noticed that I was looking at him, he turned his head.
“You are really being an asshole! I apologized for how I responded to that situation with Rissa. I just snapped,” I said.
He chuckled then turned the TV up, blocking me out. I laughed at his stubborn behind. I took a long shower thinking he was going to come in and make love to me but it never happened. I got out then dried off. I sat at my vanity in the bathroom then started to work on my hair and make-up. I unraveled the twist-style cornrows I had in my hair. I oiled it a little then plucked it out. When I was done, I had a big, bushy curly mane. Big hair looked good on plus-size women. It made our faces look slimmer, a tip I learned from the fashion world. After I applied my make-up, I headed out of the bathroom.
I dropped my robe then started to get dressed. Twenty minutes later I looked glamorous. I only got dolled up like this when I posed for Malore Magazine. I looked in the mirror then smacked my lips. My lipstick was smoke-gray with glitter in it. I plucked my hair out some more then grabbed my clutch.
“How do I look?” I asked O’Shea, turning around.
“Like you want some dick!” he spat rudely.
“I must look too good then! I will see you later,” I said, storming out of the room then down the stairs. I called my mother so she can go upstairs to get Kensi for me. In a few hours O’Shea would be leaving to go to the studio. He was dropping a new mix-tape.
“AWWWWW SHIT! Work it, baby!” my mother said. The intercom buzzed. I pressed the button to open up the gate for the driver.
“I see you later, Mama!” I kissed her cheek then walked out of the door. I got in the back of the Suburban and was greeted with a glass of champagne.
“Thanks! I needed this!” I said to Tejah.
“Yes, girl, we are turning up tonight! VIP, girl! They are having a special guest! So, you already know it’s going to be live!” she said as we headed to club Kiss.
After we p
ulled up to the front of the club, Tejah and I got out of the truck. Cam was waiting at the entrance. When I first met her we bonded instantly. I thought she was bullshitting when she said she was coming.
“Your husband let you out?” I asked.
“Girl, I’m grown! I told him I was turning up tonight! You should’ve seen the look on his face! I had to change my clothes about four times before he approved!” She laughed.
“Heyyyyyyyy, Cam baby! When are you going to stop bullshitting and start modeling for the beautiful and plump women?” Tejah asked.
“I’m too shy for all of that,” Cam said laughing. When we got into VIP, I decided to chill off on the champagne and drink something a little stronger. The waitress brought me a bottle of Patrón and a glass of ice.
